About Us
The California Energy Commission’s Energy Technology Export Program provides assistance to California-based energy technology firms in exporting technologies, products, and services to international markets. Specific programs areas include:
- The International Energy Fund (IEF) - This fund helps finance pre-investment activities of qualified California small and mid-sized companies doing business in international markets through an annual solicitation.
- Trade Missions - The California Energy Commission arranges trade missions to provide opportunities for California energy company executives wishing to access energy officials and decision-makers of foreign governments.
- Foreign Delegation Orientation Visits - Foreign delegation orientation visits provide foreign energy decision makers with a first-hand look at a wide variety of technologies at work in California and provides them a better understanding of the state's approach to diversifying energy supplies.
- Market and Trade Analysis - The California Energy Commission works with private industry to conduct trade and market analyses to assist California companies gain a better perspective of domestic and foreign energy markets.
- Directory of Energy Technology Firms - To stay current on California's changing energy industry the Energy Technology Export Program staff periodically evaluates the energy industry with a survey of California energy companies. This survey is also an opportunity for companies to propose improvements to the business climate in California.
- Energy Technology Finance Conferences - The California Energy Commission hosts an annual Energy Technology Finance Conference to assist energy companies in meeting their energy financing goals. These conferences provide California energy companies an opportunity to develop business relationships with equity fund investors, development banks, and commercial banks that provide capital for energy projects.
